Today is a really fun post because my husband, Drew, finally agreed to take photos with me for the blog. You’ve probably heard me talk about him here and there throughout social media, but he refuses to step in front of the camera and take pictures with me. We never even took engagement photos… not sure how he got out of that one. He claims he is much better behind the lens, which I can’t necessarily disagree with because he is an amazing photographer. However, it is a special day, because we have officially been “dating” for five years (tomorrow). I know, you’re probably thinking “you still celebrate your dating anniversary?” You’ll understand when your anniversary changes from 4 years to 1 year with the flash of a day. I just can’t accept giving up all that time together, and not celebrating one of my favorite days. Though it will be low key with a small dinner date, I think it’s worth recognizing and appreciating the years together. Okay, mushy rant over.
In addition to celebrating our anniversary, it is also a very special post because it features one of ours (especially his!) favorite brands, Daniel Wellington. Drew raves over and over about these watches, y’all. I found that what I liked most about the brand was the simplicity of the watch face and that all their watches are very gender neutral. You wouldn’t know my watch was made for a woman if you didn’t look closely at the size of the face (mine is a little smaller). I often love pairing masculine accessories with a really feminine outfit. I think it adds a new dimension to a look and gives it a really fun style. Another thing I really love about Daniel Wellington is their variety of watch bands. They range from timeless (his classic brown leather) to trendy and unique (my cloth striped band). If you’d like to try out your own DW watch, Daniel Wellington has offered HTS readers 15% off. Use promo code BAILEYSCHWARTZ at checkout. But hurry, it is valid until January 31st.
I am so excited because it is supposed to snow in Charlotte this weekend. I love cozy, snowed-in days by the fire place. It usually consists of warm soup, board games and a couple glasses of wine. Sounds like a perfect weekend to me!
