Today on the blog I’m sharing my black tie look for the #RStheCon finale party. I wore this hot pink lace peplum dress for the sole purpose of making a statement. I wanted to color and the style to stand out for the party, so I looked long and hard for the ‘perfect’ dress. It was great for the event, and I received so many compliments from the other bloggers. This dress may be a little on the loud side for your average Spring wedding, but if you’re looking for a dress to make an impact, then look no further. I’m wearing a size 4 and the dress was perfectly true to size.
Now more details about the party, because I’m sure that’s what you truly care about. This party was absolutely amazing, y’all. It started with a cocktail party on the rooftop of a museum under the city lights of Dallas. After about 30 minutes, we all moved to the basement floor where the setting was filled with huge, glowing liketoknow.it balloons perfect for taking photos in the dark (how appropriate for photo-obsessed bloggers!). Thirty-minutes later, the party moved outside when all of a sudden a liketoknow.it drumline approached us down a hill. They broke down in a series of cadences until we followed them back up the hill in parade fashion to a clear-top tent. The drumline introduced the DJ and the party broke out into a raging dance party. The entire night was such a blast. It was likely one of the best parties I’ve ever attended and certainly a night to remember!
Last but not least, Drew and I leave this afternoon for another getaway. We’re staying the night in NYC with a couple of close friends and then we catch a flight early in the morning to our next destination. Hint: it’s a city filled with pastel streets, any ideas??
