Merry Christmas, everyone! It has already been a crazy couple of days for us bouncing between houses to celebrate the holiday. Yesterday, we visited my grandparent’s house and celebrated Christmas Eve with them and this morning was spent at my mom’s opening up gifts with my niece and nephew. And now Drew and I are off to his parent’s house to round out our holiday celebrations. I’m literally writing this post on the way there… phew!
Christmas is a lot different than in previous years because it feels like everyone is starting to have kids so the younger ones are multiplying. It definitely changes the holiday dynamic when children are running around crazy and everything is centered around the kids, but certainly in a good way. Makes me realize I’m getting older. 🙂 🙂 Hast that been a realization for anyone else? Don’t get any ideas, kids are a ways out for Drew and I – I get that question from you guys all the time! We’re trying to enjoy each other and travel as much as we can before that stage comes.
What is your favorite thing you’ve gotten for Christmas so far? I got some sleek running shoes to help with my resolutions of sticking to my weekly workouts in the New Year. I’m hoping it will help motivate me a little bit!
Today’s post is some outtakes from the holiday photos Drew and I took with Lola and Henry. It’s one of our traditions every year because we are terrible about taking photos (believer it or not). Drew takes so many of me throughout the year that we hardly ever get any together. I have a different holiday card from every year Drew and I have been together and one day my plan is to frame them all. 🙂 Do you guys have any holiday traditions like that? I think it’s something I’ll definitely look back on for years and cherish.
I hope y’all have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy time celebrating with your families. It flies by so fast, so soak up every moment! Last but certainly not least, thank YOU for your support this past year on Here’s The Skinny. It’s been a crazy year, and looking forward to what 2018 has in store. I appreciate your support and loyalty that allows me to continue writing this blog each day!
